🎟 Culture

I am both Brazilian and American, that reflects on things with travel and my family life. It is an important part of my own culture, and has shaped me in ways that have helped me both now and will help me in the future.

🧭 Hobbies

I have a lot of hobbies. For example, I'm a big gamer, and I usually spend my freetime talking with friends or playing videogames. However, when it comes to it, I like to take my time to create things (I have no knowledge of HTML so I used other sources to set up this site.) The feeling of being able to create things makes me happier..

💳 Traditions

With being both Brazilian and American comes a LOT of traditions. For starters, nearly every birthday my mom makes brigadeiros for me and the party guests. If the birthday includes more than one Brazilian person, we usually single Happy Birthday in both English and Portuguese.

📦 Personal Values

I have gained many personal values over the years. For starters, I value creativity and accomplishment when it comes to everyone that puts in work, no matter how little they worked. The compassion and caring nature of people is a value I have, and it can benefit everyone..

🛂 Adventure

Now we get to adventure. Over the years, I've had many great adventures, and have been able to experience many different cultures. I'm able to travel the world and experience things not a lot of people get to enjoy and I'm greatful for that. Adventure across the world has shaped what I love and the values I follow, and has been an important piece of growth to me..

– Through this project and the work it took, I was able to learn some things about myself and my love for both my culture and the ability to travel. Shelina's story was inspirational, and while I may not be in the same situation as her, her confidence and honor to her culture and traditions was inspirational. Labels don't matter, the experience, memory, and emotion truly shapes what someone's identity is. I don't do much of what my culture expects of me, as Shelina did (which can be both a good and a bad thing), and it shapes me. Overall, it's important to tell stories of yourself, and like Shelina's because it'll provide people a perspective of both you and the world in your eyes.
